Pickups 4: Famicom Cartridges 4 (08.04.2014)

My very recent pickups for Famicom now! Sooner or later I will make a photo of my whole Famicom collection in case you are wondering!
So, here we go once again.
Felix vs. Jerry (Tiny Toon Adventures hack)
Track & Field
Jungle Book
Race America

Yes, I didn't get that many cartidges today, and originally I planned to get even more, but thanks to my poor internet connection on the phone, I lost my bets on 5 more of the cartridges.
I was very close to win Flintstones: The Surprise at the Dinosaur Peak, Donkey Kong Country, Road Fighter (Remarks), Adventures in the Magic Kingdom and Doki! Doki! Yuuenchi. Oh well... next time I guess...

Felix vs. Jerry was originally for one of my friends that I won't keep in my collection, as well as Monster in my Pocket that will be sold to him soon.
Track&Field, despite having a label, like any typical multicart, is an actual single game with olympic sports events in it.
Jungle Book is just what you would expect. It's the same as it was on NES. It even got the original copyrights left in it.
American Race Cars is Race America, pretty cool racing game, developed by Imagineering Inc.. which sadly made a lot of stinkers for NES, such as Simpsons: Bart vs. the Space Mutants, Home Alone 2, The Swamp Thing, etc.., but this one is pretty good imo. It has the copyrights left in it too, surprisingly.

Well, that will be it for now! Thanks for reading, and see you later!

Pickups 3: Famicom Cartridges 3 & GB Cartridges 1 (20.03.2014)

You guessed that! Another post of my pickups. For Famicom and also one for Gameboy.
Let's do this!
Yes, I got some more official Famicom cartridges, all just only cartridges, no manuals or boxes.
Here is the list of the games I got:
-Famicom-
City Connection
Dig Dug II
Exerion
Jackie Chan
Jajamaru no Daibouken
Lunar Ball
Ninja Jajamaru Kun
Ninja Ryukenden 2
Obake no Q-tarou: WanWan Panic
Sanrio Carnival
Sqoon
Super Star Force
Tower of Druaga
Super Xevious

-Gameboy-
GB Smart Card USB 64M

So, that's pretty much it what I got. Now I'll quickly tell you about some of the more interesting ones.
Ninja Jajamaru Kun was called Ninja 2 on some SuperVision pirate Famicom multicarts.
Obake no Q-tarou: WanWan Panic is known as Chubby Cherub in the West, although it's exactly the same game, except the main character is different. We play as the ghost from mango and anime with the same name(?), who loved scaring people, but was afraid of dogs, so Bandai decided to put as many dogs as possible in a game. I picked this cart up mostly because of the cartridge design. The game is pretty mediocre, but not one of the worst games ever made for NES/Famicom in my opinion.
Sanrio Carnival is basically Columns clone with Sanrio characters as the block pieces in it. The previous owner seem to have put the stickers of these characters back in the day as the photo below would prove. I decided not to take them out of the cartridge case, as it looks funny.
Sqoon cartridge has an LED light, that IREM Corporation put in their first games for Famicom, like Zippy Race, 10-Yard Fight, Spelunker, etc.. Zippy Race kind of sucks imo, I don't know how to play 10-Yard Fight properly, Spelunker is ruined for me with the broken controls and instant deaths if falling 2 inches down. This one is probably the better ones from them.
Super Xevious is quite possibly the only cartridge I have that's very shiny and gold (I don't have Zelda for NES, as I don't collect NES carts)
As for GB Smart USB...

GB Smart Card USB 64M is basically a flashcartridge with mini-USB on it, so you can load the games right on the cartridgem after the hassle of installing all the necessary drivers to get the actual program to work for putting GB/GBC ROMs on it. Runs flawlessly.
Tested on GB Pocket, GB Color, GB Advance SP and Super Gameboy. Although on Super Gameboy, to get back to the menu, like on the portable Gameboys, you have to turn off and on the console, because if you reset, you only reset the game.
Also, you can put SGB games on it and play, but the cartridge won't recognise the SGB enchancements at first, so to enable them, you have to reset the console right after you picked the game from the menu, and they will work.

Thanks for reading! See ya!

Pickups 2: Famicom Cartridges 2 (19.02.2014)

Yes, it's yet another post of my pickups. Another ones for Famicom :D
So, let's do this!

I picked up only two cartridges, but these two are the extensive multicarts. I say extensive, because, unlike most multicarts like "over-nine-thousand-in-one" that claim a lot of games and just have only less than 10 original on them, here it's all the way around, believe it or not.
Probably created by the same company, Coolboy.
Those are:
150in1 Real Game
400in1 Real Game

For the actual game list, and just more information about these multicarts can be found here:

Pickups 1: Famicom Cartridges 1 (07.01.2014)

What's up? I have decided to do this little thing on my blog, called "Pickups", which I should have started a long time ago, so I'll quickly post the stuff I got, and write what's the game is about in short.
So, here we go!
All of these carts are the bootleg ones as you can see, they are not the official Famicom carts at all.
Super Earthworm Jim 3 (Hummer Team)
Ferrari Grand Prix Challenge
Flintstones - The Rescue of Dino & Hoppy
Final Mission
Chip to Dale no Daisakusen
Super Bros. 6 (Tiny Toon Adventures hack)
Robocop 4 (Robocop 3 hack)
Monster in my Pocket
2in1 Captain America & The Avengers
6in1 Road Fighter, Excitebike, Zippy Race, Mach Rider, F-1 Race, City Connection
28in1 Mortal Kombat II (Hummer Team), Tecmo World Cup Soccer, Track & Field, Super Mario Bros, F-1 Race, Battle City, Road Fighter, Excitebike, Zippy Race, Exerion, Star Force, Sky Destroyer, Macross, Dig Dug, Bomberman, Pac-Man, Lode Runner, Circus Charlie, Duck Hunt, Magic Jewelry
75in1 Dr.Mario, The Legend of Kage, Lunar Ball, Road Fighter, Tennis, Galaxian

(Super) Earthworm Jim 3 is just a port of Earthworm Jim from Super Nintendo by Hummer Team. Plays fairly decent. Obviously, not as great as the original game, but still pretty cool for a pirate port.
Chip to Dale no Daisakusen is just Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers
Super Bros. 6 is a lazy hack of Tiny Toon Adventures, where only the sprites of Buster Bunny were changed to Mario. That's it.
Robocop 4 is a title hack of Robocop 3.
2in1 multicart is a reset-based one.
6in1 doesn't work on my Famicom, as well as Super Bros.6. Other carts from these ones work flawlessly.
Most of the included games in 28in1 have the copyrights left in the games, which was very lazy from pirates, because usually the copyrights on pirated carts are removed. It wouldn't be too bad for the cartridge that would be bundled with some Famiclone.

Thanks for reading this!
See you later!
